Safety is at the forefront of all our work. Austral and Project Green adhere to strict safety standards which are detailed in our extensive Safe Operating Procedures manual. These procedures have been developed with input from the entire workforce under the guidance of a qualified safety officer, who is a full time employee.
All Austral and Project Green staff undergo extensive training in safety and risk management and the company regularly audits adherence to safety policy. Training includes practical demonstration on equipment use and ensures competent supervision and assessment by qualified and experienced operators. To ensure that the guidelines remain current, a continuous improvement process is applied at our monthly Occupational Health and Safety Committee Forums.
No matter how large or small the task, Austral Tree Services commences each project with a comprehensive site assessment which ensures awareness of all possible risks and hazards. These are reported upon and monitored throughout the job.
